End User Licence Agreement

Effective 5 Sep 2026 Last updated 5 Sep 2026 Version 1.0

This EULA governs the software. Our Terms of Service govern the service. Both apply when you use the app.

The licence

Subject to your compliance with this EULA and our Terms of Service, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Let's Horaro app on devices you own or control, for your own personal use — or, for corporate accounts, for the internal business use of the organisation that licensed it.

This is a licence, not a sale. We and our licensors retain all rights in the software.

What you may not do

  • ❌ Copy, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the app
  • ❌ Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction
  • ❌ Remove or alter proprietary notices
  • ❌ Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or distribute it
  • ❌ Use it to build a competing product
  • ❌ Circumvent security features, licensing, or Credit charging
  • ❌ Run it on a jailbroken or rooted device — we don't prohibit you from rooting your phone, but we cannot guarantee the app's security on a device whose security model has been disabled, and we may restrict features
  • ❌ Use automated tools, bots or scripts against the app
  • ❌ Access it other than through the interfaces we provide

Updates

We may release updates, and some may install automatically depending on your device settings.

Some updates are mandatory — particularly security fixes and changes needed for encryption compatibility. If you don't install a mandatory update, parts of the app may stop working. We will tell you when an update is mandatory and why.

We support the current version and the one previous major version. Older versions may lose functionality.

Supported devices

  • iOS: version 15 or later
  • Android: version 9 or later

We may change these as operating systems age. We will give at least 30 days' notice before dropping support for a version, because a Tribute scheduled years ahead should not silently fail because someone's phone got old.

Permissions the app asks for

We ask for each of these at the point it is needed, with an explanation. You can decline any of them, and the app will still work — you just lose the feature that needed it.

We do not run location tracking in the background. Location is read only at the moment you use a feature that needs it.

Full detail on what we do with the resulting data is in the Privacy Policy.

Encryption

The app implements end-to-end encryption. Encryption keys are generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. They are never transmitted to us.

Consequences you need to understand:

  • We cannot read your encrypted messages.
  • We cannot recover them if you lose your keys.
  • If you lose all your devices without key backup enabled, your encrypted history is permanently gone. Please set up key backup.
  • Uninstalling the app may remove local keys. Back up before uninstalling.

Export control

Encryption software is subject to export control laws in some countries. You confirm you are not located in, and will not use the app from, a country subject to a UAE, UN, US or EU embargo, and that you are not on a restricted party list. You are responsible for compliance with local law on the import and use of encryption software — a small number of countries restrict it.

App store terms

If you got the app from the Apple App Store

  • This EULA is between you and Lets Horaro - F.Z.C, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging third-party intellectual property claims relating to the app.
  • You must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and any applicable usage rules.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you.

If you got the app from Google Play

You must also comply with the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to this EULA and is not responsible for the app.

In-app purchases

Credits and other in-app purchases made through an app store are processed by that store under its terms. Refund requests for store-processed purchases must go to the store, not to us — we cannot refund a charge we did not process. We will help you with the information you need.

Third-party components

The app includes open source and third-party components, licensed under their own terms, which prevail over this EULA for those components. A full list with licences is available in the app at Settings → About → Open Source Licences.

Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

Nothing here excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer under UAE law.

Liability

Section 17 of our Terms of Service governs liability, including the exclusions and the cap. It applies to this EULA as if set out here.

Termination

This licence ends automatically if you breach it. It also ends if your Let's Horaro account is terminated, or if you uninstall the app and close your account.

On termination you must stop using the app and delete it from your devices. Sections 2, 6, 9, 10 and 12 survive.

General

Governing law: the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of the United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your rights as a consumer in your country of residence.

Changes: we may update this EULA. Material changes get 30 days' notice, as under our Terms of Service. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.

Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.

Entire agreement: this EULA, the Terms of Service and the documents incorporated into them are the whole agreement about the app.
