Community Guidelines

Effective 5 Sep 2026 Last updated 5 Sep 2026 Version 1.0

These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them is a breach of contract and may result in losing your account.

Why this exists

Let's Horaro carries some of the most personal things people write — messages to children, farewells, memorials. It also carries jewellery worth real money, broadcast Channels with unlimited audiences, and messages that arrive years after they were written to people who may not be expecting them.

That combination creates specific risks. These Guidelines set out what is not allowed, how we enforce, and what happens if we get it wrong.

Don't harass people. Don't send anything illegal. Don't use anonymity to hide abuse. Don't post other people's private material. Anything involving children is reported to the authorities immediately and permanently. If someone is abusing you, block and report — we act on reports.

1. Who these Guidelines apply to

Everyone using Let's Horaro: senders, recipients, chat and group members, Channel owners, admins and followers, and corporate account users.

If you run a Channel or administer a Group, you are responsible for what appears there, including content posted by admins you appointed.

2. What you must not do

2.1 Harm to people

  • Threaten violence against anyone, or incite others to violence
  • Harass, bully, stalk or intimidate — including by repeated unwanted contact
  • Encourage suicide or self-harm, or share methods
  • Post someone's private information without consent (doxxing) — home address, workplace, phone number, ID documents, financial details
  • Share intimate images of anyone without their consent
  • Impersonate another person or organisation

2.2 Children — zero tolerance

  • Any sexual content involving a minor
  • Grooming, or any attempt to establish a sexual or romantic relationship with a minor
  • Sexualised depictions of minors, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material

There is no warning and no second chance for this. Accounts are terminated immediately, content is preserved for law enforcement, and we report to the relevant authorities. We will not restore such an account under any circumstances.

2.3 Content unlawful in the UAE

You are using a service operated from the United Arab Emirates, and UAE law applies. Some content that is lawful elsewhere is unlawful here, and in several cases criminally unlawful under the Cybercrimes Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021) and related legislation.

Do not send or post content that:

  • insults or defames any religion, religious rites or religious symbols
  • insults the UAE, its rulers, flag, national anthem or state symbols
  • is obscene, pornographic or contrary to public morals
  • defames or slanders an identifiable person
  • promotes gambling, illegal drugs or unlicensed pharmaceuticals
  • promotes terrorism, extremism or a proscribed organisation
  • incites hatred against any group on the basis of religion, race, nationality or ethnicity
  • infringes UAE laws on the publication of news and media content

This is not an exhaustive list, and it is not us being cautious for its own sake. In the UAE, defamation and religious insult can lead to criminal prosecution, fines and deportation. If in doubt, don't.

2.4 Deception and abuse of the service

  • Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, chain messages
  • Phishing, fraud, or impersonating Let's Horaro (we will never ask for your OTP)
  • Pyramid schemes, MLM recruitment, unlicensed financial promotion
  • Selling or transferring your account
  • Creating accounts to evade a ban
  • Circumventing Credit charges, region restrictions or blocking
  • Automated scraping, bulk data extraction, or unauthorised API access
  • Attacking, overloading, probing or reverse engineering the Platform
  • Uploading malware

2.5 Misusing Tribute features

Some abuses are specific to how this product works.

Anonymity. "Hide Name During Countdown" hides your name from the recipient. It does not hide you from us. Using it to send threatening, abusive or frightening content is a serious breach, and we will disclose your identity to the recipient and to authorities where appropriate.

Countdown intimidation. Sending an anonymous countdown to someone in order to frighten them, or timing a message to land at a moment calculated to cause distress, is harassment.

Unwanted contact through delivery. You may not use Tributes, gift deliveries or Tribute Echo groups to reach someone who has blocked you, or who has opted out of contact. A block is a block across every feature.

Delayed harassment. Scheduling abusive content for delivery years in the future is treated exactly as if you sent it today.

Forced-group harassment. You may not use Tribute Echo groups to force someone into a conversation with people they have blocked.

2.6 Intellectual property

  • Do not upload copyrighted music, film, images or text without permission
  • Do not engrave trade marks, logos or protected designs you don't have the right to use
  • Do not upload someone else's photographs and pass them off as your own

On engraving specifically: when you submit engraving text or artwork, you confirm you have the right to reproduce it. We manufacture what you approve. If a third party makes a valid claim about something we engraved on your instruction, Section 17.5 of the Terms of Service applies.

2.7 Prohibited items

Separate rules apply to what can be shipped. See the Shipping & Delivery Policy.

3. Channels — extra rules

Channels broadcast to unlimited followers. They are public communications and are held to a higher standard.

  • Channels are not end-to-end encrypted. Content is visible to us and subject to moderation.
  • Channel owners are responsible for all content, including posts by admins.
  • Do not use Channels for unlicensed news publication, unlicensed financial advice, unlicensed medical advice, or unlicensed advertising of regulated products.
  • Do not use Channels to coordinate harassment of an individual.
  • Impersonating a public figure, brand or organisation in a Channel is prohibited. Parody must be unmistakably labelled.

If you operate a Channel commercially or as a media outlet, you may need a licence from the relevant UAE authority. That is your responsibility, not ours. We may require evidence of licensing for Channels above a certain size or in certain categories.

4. Groups — extra rules

  • Group admins must not add people who have blocked them, or who have asked not to be added.
  • Every member can see every other member's phone number. Do not add someone to a group without considering that.
  • Admins may restrict a group to admin-only posting; that does not make the admins any less responsible for its content.
  • The Tribute Echo group name is fixed as the Tribute name and cannot be changed.

5. How we moderate

We want to be honest about what we can and cannot see.

5.2 What this means in practice

We cannot proactively scan your private messages, because we cannot read them. That is a deliberate design choice and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

For encrypted surfaces, moderation is report-driven. When you report a message, your device attaches the decrypted content of the reported message — and limited surrounding context — to the report, so our team can actually assess it. Reporting is therefore the only way we learn about abuse in private chats. Please use it.

5.3 Reporting

In-app: long-press a message, or open a profile, Channel or group → Report. By email: support@letshoraro.com — include the Tribute ID, Channel name or phone number involved.

For urgent safety concerns — credible threats of violence, child safety, imminent risk to life — use support@letshoraro.com with URGENT in the subject line. We prioritise these. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service.

We aim to acknowledge reports within 48 hours and to decide within 72 hours. Child safety and credible violence reports are actioned immediately.

5.4 What we do with a report

  • Acknowledge — you get confirmation
  • Review — a trained human reviews it; automated systems may prioritise but do not decide alone
  • Decide — we determine whether these Guidelines were breached
  • Act — see Section 6
  • Notify — we tell you the outcome, though we may not disclose what action was taken against another user

We do not disclose who reported you.

6. What happens if you break these rules

We aim to be proportionate. Most breaches are not malicious, and a warning is usually enough.

We consider: how serious the breach was, whether it was deliberate, whether anyone was harmed, whether it's a repeat, and whether you have engaged with us honestly about it.

6.1 Immediate termination without warning

Reserved for: child sexual abuse material or grooming; credible threats of serious violence; sharing intimate images without consent; coordinated attacks on the Platform; and serious criminal use.

6.2 Effect on your Tributes

If we terminate your account for breach, we may cancel Tributes that have not yet unlocked. Where the Tribute is itself the breach, we will cancel it.

Tributes already delivered are not affected. We do not remove content from a recipient's account except where the content itself breaches these Guidelines — for example, non-consensual intimate imagery, which we remove wherever it exists.

Unused Credits are forfeited on termination for breach.

7. If you think we got it wrong

You can appeal. We would rather fix a mistake than lose a user to a bad automated call.

Email support@letshoraro.com with the subject line APPEAL, within 30 days. Include your account details, what action was taken, and why you think it was wrong.

  • A different reviewer handles the appeal — not the person who made the original decision.
  • We aim to decide within 14 days.
  • If we were wrong, we restore your account and content, and we restore any Credits forfeited.
  • We do not accept appeals on child safety terminations.

8. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on Let's Horaro infringes your rights, email legal@letshoraro.com with:

  • Your name and contact details
  • What work is infringed, and evidence you own or represent the rights
  • Where the infringing content is — Channel name, message link, order reference
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised
  • A statement that the information is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act

We will review, remove infringing content where the complaint is valid, notify the user, and give them a chance to respond. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

Please don't send bad-faith takedown notices. Knowingly false claims may make you liable for the other party's losses.

Note on encrypted content: we cannot search private encrypted messages for infringing material. IP complaints can only be actioned on content we can see — Channels, profiles, group metadata and engraving artwork.

9. Government and legal requests

See Section 8 of our Privacy Policy. In summary: we require properly authorised requests, we disclose only what is covered, and we notify you unless prohibited by law or where notification would create a safety risk.

10. Our discretion, and its limits

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts where we reasonably believe these Guidelines have been breached, or where content creates a legal risk to us or our users.

We commit that we will not: remove content because we disagree with a lawful opinion in it; act on a report without reviewing it; refuse an appeal without a genuine second review; or terminate an account for a first minor breach without warning.

11. Changes

We will notify you of material changes 30 days in advance, as with our Terms of Service. If we add a new prohibited category, we will explain why.
